Piece was part of a table garniture belonging to the family of Elizabeth C. Norton Lawrence and Lewis H. Lawrence (1833-1905), married in October 1857. Lewis Lawrence was a Utica, New York businessman (L. Lawrence & Son Lumber) and partner in H.J. Holbrook & Co., makers of shoes for women.
Instead of Dorflinger, maker could also be New England Glass Company.
