Belonged to Private Frank Bovingdon of the Cambridgeshire Regiment. He also served with the Royal Fusiliers and the London Regiment. Bovingdon was with the Royal Fusiliers when first stated as missing in action and was later marked as a POW in the September 18, 1917 edition of the War Office Casualty List. He was from Hammersmith, London.
