Truth Unveiled
- October 18, 2025 - December 06, 2025
Art League RI -
On Site Exhibition
Closing Reception, Saturday, December 6, 5-7 pm
Art League Rhode Island is pleased to present Truth Unveiled: Art as Reality, Illusion, and Insight, organized by Art League board member Dan Borden, and juried by Conor Moynihan and Christina Alderman.
In a time when truth and falsehood are increasingly blurred, the Art League of RI showcases artists from around the country working in various media. The artists’ work chosen for this exhibition reflects on how art—as an inherently imaginative, subjective expression—can open minds, raise awareness, and convey truth in ways that straight facts cannot.
We believe that art offers a unique lens through which to reveal both personal and universal truths, engaging viewers in a conversation about authenticity, perception, and illusion. Truth Unveiled aims to provoke conversation about art as both a vehicle for and a challenger of truth. The work included in this exhibition engages viewers beyond the literal. Artists and viewers alike are asked to question the nature of reality and illusion, opening pathways for reflection and discussion. The jurors organized the artwork into seven categories: Calling It out; Environmental Realities; Gendered Truths; Inner Truth; Truth Beyond Knowing; Veiled and Unveiled; What's True? What's Truth?
