Growth of My Mind is a personal exploration of how my thoughts and perspectives have evolved over time. Through this piece, I wanted to capture the journey of growing up, leaving behind parts of my younger self while also recognizing their significance. The idea behind this artwork
was to visually represent the way my mind has expanded and changed, showing that growth is a natural and necessary part of life.
I started with a pencil drawing of myself, using traditional techniques to ground the piece in something raw and personal. From there, I incorporated digital elements to enhance the contrast between my past and present self. The process of layering these different techniques mirrors the complexity of personal growth—how we build on our past experiences to shape who we are.
This piece is deeply connected to my own reflections on childhood. I often find myself longing for the simplicity of the past, but Growth of My Mind serves as a reminder that maturing isn’t something to fear. Instead, it’s a journey of self-discovery, where we can carry the best parts of our younger selves forward. Through this artwork, I hope to encourage others to embrace change, understanding that growth doesn’t mean losing who we were, but rather becoming who we are meant to be.
