Prophecy is a mixed media collage in which I explore contemporary use of traditional Christian iconography, in this case, the hummingbird as a symbol of God. Using birds to represent the presence of God and God's intimate interaction with human beings has a long history in the Christian tradition. Prophecy is one of two of my artworks featured in the book, The Magic of Modern Art How to Love Modern & Contemporary Art, by Robyn Jamison, 2022.
