This painting was one of five that became the starting point of "Alignmentality" the digital projection mapped animation I created with two video artists.

When I moved into a work space behind my house in 2017, the 20-yard walk from my kitchen to studio door has created a new rhythm in my work life. When I carve out my mornings for painting, I am drawn to the oranges, yellows and gold tones. The lines streak across the canvas like morning light. The kind of light that sparkles, breaking through the trees, radiating the energy of a new day.
