"As the World Turns" was initially constructed in 1991 as part of the Art Refuse exhibition at Philadelphia Armory. It was then exhibited at the Festival Of World Cinema in 1992 in Philadelphia and at the CEPA Gallery in Buffalo 1993. The piece was reconstructed in 2017 as part of the Trump Dump Exhibition at Arcadia University. The naked man was replaced with a commercial cutout of Donald Trump. A previous exhibition of photographs by Dana Smith about Black Lives Matter was taken down and wrapped up. The original piece had a monitor as the naked man's head. That monitor was moved to a nearby pedestal. The original piece had magazines of Trump laid about on the global stage.
