Halfway through this month-long residency, I have seen so many wonderful, amazing things. This is my kind of Disney World! This great watery prairie reminds me of the Central U.S. or pictures I've seen of African Savannah. What I find mesmerizing is that when one steps close to the grasses' edge, one sees water not solid ground. Puddle after puddle, stream after rivulet after moat after borrowed pond after river to the ocean. Every day I go out with my sketchbook and draw, take notes and record things I've seen and heard and smelled. Later in my workspace.studio I paint from the notes I've made.
