During my time in the Everglades, I was focusing on two bodies of work. The first was to honor and celebrate the art of birding. I made portraits of birders and paired them with an image of one of their favorite species. I'm drawn to the patience, study, and dedication of my fellow birders. The second body of work comes from my love of exploring the wilderness at night. The scene is lit with my headlight and explores an alternative way of looking at popular trails/locations in the park. A quieter time when most people have gone home.
