The Everglades birds are colorful, and the fish plentiful, all congregating in the last remaining water pools of the dry season. On the banks, every plant seems to flower in anticipation of the rainy season about to begin. But the water can be black and ominous, the shadows where the supreme reptilian predator waits. With these memories and collection of digital photos, I created my paintings.
