This collection drew from my interactions and observations with nature, the flora and fauna in the Everglades National Park. My research was included in several poems relating to Floridian conservation history and Florida Native-American history. My work incorporates the spirit of eco-criticism, a desire to conserve the earth and protect its creatures. I am very drawn to issues that impact the Everglades and threaten its survival and factors that celebrate its survival and importance.
