As a landscape artist, I believe that my paintings (in addition to being aesthetic compositions) can preserve a view of wilderness that is too often disappearing. Whenever I include paintings of the Everglades in my exhibitions viewers invariably express an interest and concern for this ecosystem. It is my hope that art can subtly convey and encourage a reverence for this land.
