While capturing images of the Gulf Coast with oil on canvas, all dimensions of the boundaries between land and water hold my interest. In the Gulf Coast skies, voluminous cloud formations are produced in a turbulence zone caused by temperature differences between air and the underlying water on land. At ground level, the boundary between land and water often contains marshlands.... Standing in a salt marsh on a hazy day helps us put our ephemeral existence into perspective. As an artist I use scenes from the Gulf Coast region to create paintings that draw the viewer into the mystical triple point world.
