As an African-American columnist/social critic, I am obligated to cast light on subjects that most of society would prefer to ignore. I am intolerant of sacred cows and I intentionally look for subjects most of us only whisper about behind closed doors, emotions, thoughts and ideas that define who we really are. I try to entice readers into seeking new, logical and reasonable answers to familiar certainties that guide their lives and frame their relations with others.
