My art develops from idea to image. I deal with both formal and conceptual content. I approach art as it relates to the contemporary experience without denying its historical connection. I keep the content of my work open to interpretation and I have found that almost any idea, as long as it's flexible and allowed to evolve, will provide me with more than adequate inspiration to engage the process of painting. I feel successful when my art opens a dialogue with the viewer and stimulates them to question their perceptions.
