OPEN SPRING EXHIBITION 2024 including the Pauline Keen Memorial Purchase Prize Award

I have a love of animals, nature and creativity, and am constantly inspired by the animals and wildlife seen from my garden studio and daily walks.
I also have a particular interest in greyhounds, having been charmed by their gentle nature and elegance, and horses and donkeys, which developed from previous experience working with them.

I often depict my subjects at rest or captured in quiet moments, which gives a calm aura to my work, and create monochrome oil paintings, using a reductive technique where I find it interesting to remove paint rather than continually adding. My style evolved from experimenting with different media over the years and from studying Fine Art at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art in Dundee.

I also enjoy mixed media on occasion for something completely different or quirky.
