This painting was the result of one of those instant inspirations when life throws a curve ball to the creative process. In other words, I had set out a fairly heavy To-Do List when my inner Muse looked at the shoes I had nonchalantly thrown down on the mat by my sofa and 'ping!' a story was born and a painting was painted. All in my mind instantly, and so the To-do List was set aside for another day and the pens, papers and art materials were brought out instead. Part of the Old Shoes Collection.
