MessageTammie Rubin was born in Chicago, IL. She received a BFA in Ceramics and Art History from the University of Illinois, Urbana Champaign and an MFA in Ceramics from the University of Washington in Seattle. Her work explores the power of everyday manmade objects—their use and significance in magic and ritual, mapping and migration, and longing and identity. She currently works as an Associate Professor of Ceramics & Sculpture at St. Edwards University in Austin, TX.
