Lester Lim's journey in the arts began with a bold move: dropping out of school at 16 to apprentice in painting movie posters. This ignited a lifelong passion for visual expression, leading him into a successful advertising career. In 1999, he founded Creaxis Design, accumulating 27 international awards over two decades. Co-founding gagatree in 2003, their designs reached prestigious locations like the Museum of Modern Art (MOMA) in New York. Venturing into toy design in 2018, he fully embraced artistry, closing Creaxis Design in 2020 to focus on his artistic persona, "LesDoublewood."

Since starting his artist career, he participated in solo exhibitions at Blaxk Singapore and Shout Gallery in Hong Kong, and collaborated with brands like Genting Cruise and Canon. LesDoublewood's artistry is defined by innovation creative evolution, being childlike and humorous, centering around the theme of time in a vintage vibe yet bursting with colour. With over 20 years in the design industry, LesDoublewood seeks to push boundaries, harmonise colours, and harness the transformative power of art to inspire change. Always driven to create something new, his journey is a testament to his passion of artistic distinction.
