Cipto Purnomo is an Indonesian visual artist known for his bold and expressive artworks. He graduated from Indonesia Institute of Arts, Yogyakarta, where his training was grounded in traditional techniques and modern contemporary concepts. His artistic journey is shaped by his Indonesian heritage, integrating a variety of mediums including painting, sketching, installation and sculptures. Purnomo's style is characterised by a dynamic blend of abstract and figurine elements, focusing on the interconnection of culture, identity and social themes.

His art has been celebrated for its intricate detail, emotional depth and ability to communicate complex meanings. Throughout his career, he has held numerous art exhibitions in both Indonesia and internationally, and has won multiple awards including the Finalist UOB Painting of the Year 2014, UOB Plaza Jakarta; Museum of Indonesia Record Best Five Tujuh Bintang Art Award 2009 “THE DREAM”; Third Winner of Painting Competition, Borobudur International Festival 2003.
