I chose John Hancock because surprisingly he’s a very underrated founder among the others with names like Washington, Hamilton, and Franklin. John may have written the first words on the declaration but is never the founding father recognized first. John Hancock was important to our local history because he used his wealth and fortune to help found the America we stand on to this day he put the revolutionary first and even did so while being a governor of Massachusetts. I thought he deserved a lil more recognition. I can’t really relate to the guy since he was a genius to a cartoonish degree as he graduated high school at 13 and proceeded to go on and go to Harvard and get a bachelor degree at 17. A way I could relate to him is his ego as he was a very smart person and was exactly who he thought he was.
