Pitcher, 6.5 inches tall. Brown transfer with polychrome clobbering and gilding. Printed maker's mark for Whittingham, Ford & Riley. The pitcher has the same center design on both sides. The three cartouches contain three different infills. The right round cartouche shows two sailboats, while the rectangular cartouche portrays a man fishing in a river opposite a cliff with a castle on top. In the distance a man is crossing a bridge with one arch. Tall trees loom in the distance. The left round cartouche is infilled with small flowers and leaves. Behind the cartouches are flowering branches and ferns.
