Plate, 7.625 inches diameter. Brown transfer. Printed maker's mark for Dunn, Bennett & Co. The registry diamond indicates a pattern registration date of 12 February 1883. he center design is anchored by four floral cartouches (two rectangular and two circular) asymmetrically overlapping one another in the center. Large flowers and curving leaves fill in the spaces around the central cartouches. A complex geometrical border accented with unique asymmetrical floral displays, extending into the well of the plate, surrounds the center. Two smaller borders, one botanical and one geometrical, define the inner and outer edges of the larger border.
