Bone plate, brown transfer with polychrome clobbering. Impressed maker's mark for Wedgwood. Pattern number A2500 painted in red. The impressed trio of letters dates the production of this piece to 1868. This simple border-only pattern consists of a geometric band of alternating triangles filled in with diagonal lines and laid under repeated circles. Above this band is another band of alternating stylized flower motifs. The rim is decorated with a simple painted line.
