First in the FK series. A confluence is the place where two bodies of water meet. In this case, inspired by the meeting of the Atlantic Ocean and Gulf of Mexico at the tip of Key West.
This series is inspired by the many wonderful dive sites that can be accessed when traveling through the Florida Keys. The Florida Keys, a string of tropical islands stretching 120 miles off the southern tip of Florida, are replete with palm trees, sandy beaches, gorgeous reefs, and shipwrecks.
Interestingly, the same reef system that gives us the Flower Gardens Banks extends to the Florida Keys. It is the only living coral barrier reef in the continental United States and the third largest barrier reef in the world.
