My rendition copy after French Master Jean Désiré Gustave Courbet's still life painted in 1871 who led the Realism movement in 19th-century French painting. It's one of a series of still-life paintings Courbet made while in prison for his role in the Commune (1871). He was allowed an easel and paints, but he could not have models pose for him.
