This sculpture was on temporary display at the Madison Central Library. The materials used are boxelder and pine. This large scale project took over a year to complete. The "flames" are carved from a single tree that was over 3' in diameter.

Promethues' gift is my reinterpretation of the myth, through the lens of the environmental crisis we face. The question I ask is do we control the 'fire' or does it control us, and to what end? This work has been on display at the public library in madison wi. It is a large scale piece and features a whole section of a boxelder tree trunk that was felled by a wind storm in my neighborhood.
