- Marilyn Lavins
Marilyn Lavins, a former flight attendant, studied at Moore College of Art and Design and has a B.F.A. from Tyler School of Art at Temple University. Her work is influenced by Violet deMazia of the Barnes Foundation, and artists such as Modigliani, Picasso, Braque and El Greco. Lavins' work has been recognized with awards from Da Vinci Art Alliance, Cheltenham Art Center, Narberth Art Group and numerous other venues. Sustaining a head injury in an automobile crash, Lavins has double vision and wears a prism in her eyeglasses at all times. She also has sciatica and a herniated disc.
