Knowing one's roots is an essential, existential question. For adoptees transracial and domestic the lack of an origin story can destabilize our identities, making us feel like we are born from nothing-alien to this world. The central work of my Seeds from the East community art project was to reclaim my Korean identity and reconnect myself to the cut tether of my culture and ancestry.
