Artist statement about this body of work:
This body of work is inspired by the idea of the remains of moments. We rarely remember things verbatim and most of our memories are interpretations of things that happen. Those moments in time affect us long after our memory of them fades. We are affected by past loves and heartbreaks, and emotional connections and disconnections. The effect remains, and in that way, those moments are immortalized. We are sometimes slaves to those moments and we fight to recapture the event literally and fail every time. I believe this is the origin of ghosts and how we become ghosts in some ways. It is also the way we never forget the value of moments even as time bleaches away our memories.
