Threaded: A Fine Art Fiber Collective

Threaded will be an online multi-disciplinary fine art collection of fiber inclusive artworks, of all forms and genre’s. Threaded is an in-depth look at contemporary craft, textile art and fiber art as unique fine art or installation art. Each entry must include fiber somewhere within the piece.

Please read the full guidelines and terms before completing the application process. Entries can only be submitted online via the website. A separate application must be filled out for each show.

Accepting all fine art / contemporary craft art submissions that clearly employ and represent the theme of fiber and/or textile art. Eligible media include, but are not limited to: embroidery, weaving, crochet, knitting, macrame, tapestry, quilting, heliographic (sun printing), unique fabric dye/printing, fabric collage, installation, felt designs / sculpture, fiber / textile wall hangings or sculpture, and any mixed media 2D and 3D design where fiber / textile is incorporated. What we will not accept are fashion design submissions, crochet or knitted clothing or accessories, crochet or knitted blankets, bed quilts, baby accessories, etc. We are specifically looking for unique, fine art submissions. If a genre, medium or material you specialize in is not listed, please email to provide specifics about your work. Submissions are open to local, regional, national and international artists.

Each artist is limited to six (6) images per submission. There is a $10 (USD) non-refundable/non-transferable fee, for up to six (6) images. Payments must be submitted online at the time of application. Deadline to submit work is April 26, 2019.

Accepted artists will be notified no later than April 29, 2019 via their provided email.

Each piece will have the artist’s contact and website information displayed for buyers. Artists are responsible for their own sales. Should an interested party inquire about a piece, the artist will be notified with the buyer copied.

Best in Show: Envisions Arts will announce one Best In Show for the exhibition. Winner will be emailed a certificate of Best In Show, and will have a featured article with up to six images, complete with Q&A, in our own online arts publication, Envisions Arts Magazine.

Honorable Mention: Envisions Arts will announce between one and three honorable mentions in varying categories. Winners will be emailed a certificate.

Envisions Arts Founder / Director, and Dallas-based artist, Ginger Cochran has curated, or served as a juror, for numerous group or collective exhibitions all throughout north and south Texas, as well as Phoenix, Arizona and Las Vegas, Nevada. She has a passion for the emerging artists’ sense of community and strives to create opportunities for all artists to network and build working relationships with other artists, clients, industry leads and persons of influence within their careers.

The exhibition will be publicized locally, regionally and nationally via our social media platforms, email, and press release. Envision Arts reserves the right to use photographs and/or digital images of any accepted work for the purpose of publicity for either the exhibit or the artist.
