4th Annual Cityscapes Art Competition

Fusion Art is pleased to announce it is now accepting entries for the 4th Annual Cityscapes international art competition. The theme includes any art which depict cities, towns, urban scenes and/or any related metropolitan subjects.

Architectronic

The Foundry Art Centre is seeking submissions for “Architectonic”, an all-media exhibition highlighting works that are inspired by architecture or that incorporate architectural elements. Works may depict actual architectural forms, or may approach the theme less literally by incorporating grids or other structural lines.

Harlow Sculpture Town: Commission

Harlow Art Trust is currently inviting submissions from artists to add the latest work of art to Harlow Sculpture Town. Harlow is home to an eclectic mix of over 90 public sculptures by both world-famous and lesser known artists.

Request for Proposals: PUBLIC ART GATEWAY PROJECT

This is an opportunity to be the first artist or artist team to create a public art Gateway of a size and scale that has never before been done in the City of Lake Oswego! This project will produce a public art work to define the Northeastern gateway (entrance) into Lake Oswego. This artwork will be a marker of boundary as people cross from one place into another and shall invoke a sense of place and be associated with the identity of Lake Oswego.

TIFF Open Festival 2019 | Worlds

TIFF Open is an open competition of the TIFF Festival dedicated to photographers and creators using the medium of photography. As always, we are looking for an unconventional, original look, fresh and unique ideas for photographic projects. Although the competition itself has no imposed theme, projects and cycles that refer to this year’s Festival slogan: “worlds” are welcome.

23rd Annual No Dead Artists Juried Exhibition of Contemporary Art

Jonathan Ferrara Gallery proudly hosts an annual call for artists for the 23rd Annual NO DEAD ARTISTS: International Juried Exhibition of Contemporary Art. The exhibition was created in 1995 to give a voice to emerging artists. The exhibition’s name is derived from the old adage that artists never achieve success until they are dead. NO DEAD ARTISTS turns that notion on its head and gives emerging artists their first break in the art world.

One of the most inclusive and diverse open submission prizes in London, the Sunny Art Prize offers unique exposure for both emerging and established artists to an audience spanning two continents. Created around the Sunny Art Centre’s unparalleled links between London, Beijing, Guangzhou and Macau, the prize winners will not only enjoy a month-long residency in China, but also the opportunity to exhibit both in our central London gallery and in prestigious galleries in China. A £6,000 total cash prize will be split between the first three winning artists.

Artadia Awards

Artadia is a national non-profit organization that supports visual artists with unrestricted, merit-based awards and fosters connections to a network of opportunities. In the past 18 years, Artadia has awarded over $3 million to more than 300 artists throughout its participating award cities of Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles, New York, and San Francisco.

WHO: U.S. visual artists who work in the current program city of Chicago (or its eligible counties) and who have resided there for at least two years.

AMOUNT: Ranges between $5000 to $20,000, plus ongoing assistance through the lifetime of your career.

Innovate Grant awards two $550.00 grants each quarter, to one Visual Artist and one Photographer. In addition to receiving a grant award, winners will be featured and recognized on our website and join a growing community of vibrant and talented artists.

Integrity: Arts & Culture Association Grants

Integrity: Arts & Culture (IACA) sponsors mini-grants for artists focusing on creative endeavors, believing the arts are essential to the health and vitality of our communities and our nation. Grants are intended to assist with such things as art supplies, recording studio time, exhibits, performances, project-related expenses, etc.

WHO: Applicants must be a U.S. citizen or a permanent legal resident, 18 years of age or older. High school or college undergraduate students may not apply. Graduate students may apply, but we do not fund tuition or student projects.

AMOUNT: Grants generally average $250

ACS Studio Prize 2019

The Artists’ Collecting Society (ACS) is offering one student or recent graduate £6,000 to contribute to the cost of an artist’s studio in a UK city of your choice. The Studio Prize was established by ACS in 2017 to help artists with the costs of rising studio rents. It recognises the need for studio space and financial stability for emerging artists at the pivotal stage of beginning their careers.

Iceland Last Minute Call!

This residency is for visual artists from all around the world who want to be inspired by Icelandic nature and culture, work on their art and develop their projects.

LOCATION: Grundarfjordur, Iceland

FINE PRINT: Residency includes a private apartment with a studio space, fully equipped kitchen & bathroom. 
Basic equipment is also available in the studio, however artists are responsible for bringing their own materials as there is no shop with art supplies in the area. It's possible to ship your art supplies via mail before arriving. One month: 700 EUR – additional 350 EUR for second artist/partner.

 

Winter Residency at the Wassaic Project

The Wassaic Residency Program has been created to cultivate and support community for emerging and professional contemporary artists. Housed in a historic re-purposed livestock auction barn and nearby house, the Residency Program offers 12 participating artists the opportunity to live and work in the heart of a rural community and offers artists studio space. The Wassaic Project seeks a group of artists working in a diverse range of media who want to produce, explore, challenge, and expand on their current art making practices, while participating in a grass roots, community-based arts organization.

Winter Residency in Fish Factory, The Creative Centre of Stöðvarfjörður

The Creative Centre is an ongoing collaborative and community project. We want to regenerate and sustain our small village by making it into a desirable place to settle – a place where you can enjoy culture and the influx of new ideas and creative people. We run an all year around Art Residency. The projects aim is to demonstrate the possibility of strengthening small, remote communities with creative initiatives and to be a source of inspiration for others alike.

Joya: AiR summer residencies

Joya: arte + ecología / AiR is an "off-grid" interdisciplinary residency rooted in the crossroads of art, ecology and sustainable living practice. It is located in the heart of the Parque Natural Sierra María - Los Vélez, in the north of the province of Almería, Andalucía. Joya: AiR offers abundant time and space for residents to make, think, explore and learn from their surroundings.

Printmaking Residency: Summer & Fall 2019

The Printmaking Residency is a self-directed production residency that offers the unique opportunity to produce work on-site at Arquetopia and at the Museo Taller Erasto Cortés (Erasto Cortés Printmaking Museum). The techniques offered are intaglio, linoleum, woodcut, polyester plate, silkscreen and the unique opportunity of working with a specific lithography stone from Mexico.

2020 AIR Taipei Open Call

Artist-in-Residence (AIR) Taipei is operated by the Taipei ∣ Treasure Hill Artist Village. The program aligns with international artist-in-residence sites, provides artists from both Taiwan and abroad with residence opportunities and forms an open platform that also acts as a web of solid, international connections, drawing in diverse communities in various disciplines to exchange and broaden each other’s perspectives.

Belgrade Art Studio Residency

Belgrade Art Studio Residency is a non-profit international art program designed to bring talented artists, creative practitioners, researchers and writers from around the world to experience a unique cultural environment dedicated to art. Selected artists are invited to live and work in specially designed studio for a period up to 6 months. By bringing the creators of art in a unique setting the Program aims to situate art at the very heart of historical Belgrade.

DURATION: 2 weeks up to 3 months

Every participant can bring along one family member or partner that will pay 50% of the price as well as a pet, free of charge. CRETA Rome Artist Residencies

C.R.E.T.A. Rome offers self-funded residencies to international ceramicists, visual artists, and writers for periods of 4 or 5 weeks. The residency includes a semi-private equipped studio, housing in the historical center of Rome, and technical assistance in procuring materials for your work, firings, etc., advice on museums, galleries and sites in Rome and beyond.

Spaetsommer Artist Residency: Germany

This self-directed artist residency is located directly on the tranquil Havel River in rural Germany . The space is located approximately 50 miles from Berlin and offers the artist an abundance of natural beauty to stimulate the plein air painting experience.

WHO: International artists must be 21 years old to participate and eligible to travel to and stay in Germany for the period of the residency.

DURATION: 2 weeks to 1 month from September 15 to October 31

LOCATION: Havelland County, Germany

White Cube Residency - New Mexico

Each year Annex:art offers its White Cube Residency in San Fidel, New Mexico. This short-term, sponsored residency program is being offered in cooperation with Gallery 66, located in the historic Acoma Curio Shop. The artist will be required to complete a project which can be achieved in the confines of the allotted white cube. The cube is a functional part of the interior of Gallery 66. The basic requirement for this residency is to utilize the 8'x 8' structure as both the work space to create the work and the exhibition space to present it upon completion.

WHO: The program is open to creative individuals working in any genre, including visual art, music and literature.

DURATION: 2 to 4 weeks

LOCATION: San Fidel, New Mexico

Silence Awareness Existence - Residency in Finland, Winter 2019-20

Silence Awareness Existence is a residency program for artists, researchers and creative professionals, wanting to retreat into silence in nature. The program brings together a group of artists attuned to the theme to share a focused and mindful residency in the middle of the Nordic winter.
