This is my sister's favorite piece, and so deserving of a name that evokes magnificence. Mixing techniques is one of my trademarks and in Intergalactic Fugue the two outstanding weaves are shaped Peyote stitch and Cellini spiral weave. Actually both of these are weaves rather than stitches as the thread passes through each and every bead, sometimes more than once.
The other two weaves you will find are spiral weave (originally called Ruth's Twist) and shaped brick stitch, both in the pendant part of the necklace.
The gemstone beads are larvakite, a gem quality feldspar related to labradorite but with a blue-gray shimmer instead of the blue-green.
