Memories can be inspiring as well as haunting and painful. They are a part of who we have been, are and will be. How we handle events in our lives is either a period of growth or some part of minimizing who we are. This is a painting I created shortly after the death of my husband. It symbolizes the inner turmoil and the slow, reticent process to slough off that which is no longer of value; not the joyful memory of our life together, but the painful of loss and regret.
