Lisa Hunt’s Love & Arrows I and II is an abstracted repeat pattern that incorporates the font Dwiggins Deco which was originally designed in 1930 by W.A. Dwiggins as the cover for the book American Alphabets by Paul Hollister. This strongly geometric Art Deco lettering style is representative of forms that Lisa explores and employs in her work. The addition of the graphic arrows piercing the letter forms creates an abstract repeat pattern where the word LOVE is hidden and revealed upon meditation. Screen printed with black ink on gold leaf paper. Signed and numbered on the verso.
