My love of Nature has driven me forward my whole life! The colors, patterns, forms and lines all inspire me.
This love of the natural world and my desire to express it have led me to the varied mediums of drawing, printmaking, photography, watercolor, metalworking and enameling, batik, embroidery and quilting, etched and stained glass, and ceramics! I began showing, receiving acclaim and awards, and selling my work while still a student.
I work mostly now on etchings and collages made of etchings. The etchings are sometimes watercolored, and sometimes left as simple and graphic images of black ink on white paper. The Etching Collages are a medium I made up~ It occured to me about a dozen years ago while doodling. I realized I could make decorative papers (that were etchings!), to use in collages. I made a number of large etching plates that are solely patterns, and then print them in various colors of ink I mix. From these etchings I make collages, whether abstracted representational images or non-objective ones.
The images you see here are my own designs and are completely made by me and by hand. Copyright laws protect the images.
