I focus on representational oil painting that often involves people being themselves and presenting them in a way that triggers memories for the viewer.
MessageThe apples came from our tiny untended orchard and are posed with one of my antique jelly jars. It is interesting to me that truly organic fruit and produce often looks very unappetizing because we have forgotten what real fruit looks like. Peeled and prepared as apple pie filling or applesauce, one would never know how ugly these apples really were.
