Hildegard “paints with light” using dichroic glass to compose colour, lines and patterns, creating mesmerizing fields of projected colour.
Message
In this minimal composition colour appears suspended behind opaque and translucent geometric patterns of sandblasting, creating shifted colour shadows as well as complementary colours being reflected back onto the sandblasted pattern.
The artist love of geometry and exploration of opaque and translucent surface layers combine to invite the viewer to look closer and delight in the variations presented wihtin this ‘Pattern Study’ series of work.
