Welcome to "Terra Earth" a global gathering named after the Latin term for "Earth".

Photographers from around the World are invited to share their passion for both nature and photography by participating in this virtual exhibition.

This exhibition is dedicated to illuminating and celebrating the remarkable grace of our planet.

Photographers are encouraged to showcase their creative interpretations of Earth's stunning beauty through various forms of photography. Whether depicting landscapes that reveal the vastness of our planet, intimate portraits of wildlife that highlight the intricacies of nature, detailed macro shots, breathtaking aerial views, serene underwater scenes, or any other captivating form of photography celebrating Earth's wonders, all are welcomed.

Surel’s Place believes that artists should be supported at a level commensurate to the value you add to our individual and collective lives. We aim to give you the time, shelter, and professional support your work deserves. In exchange, we ask you to offer art experiences to our community. Garden City values artists and their work, and as a resident, you will be valued and appreciated for the energy, ideas, and dedication that you bring to our city.

OUR PROGRAM
The program is open to professional visual, literary, and performance artists: painters, writers, musicians, architects, filmmakers, and choreographers… any artist who needs a place to focus. However, because of the property’s limitations and proximity to neighbors, this is not a place that can accommodate loud or terribly messy processes, such as welding or blacksmithing.

We favor artists whose work is technically advanced, unique, attractive (need not be pretty!), and conceptually valuable. Work that is predominantly conceptual, that must be explained in order to attract a viewer, may not be met with as much enthusiasm by our jurists. In addition, because we ask our residents to interact with the public through one workshop and one final event, we welcome artists who desire to connect with an audience in these ways.

Additionally, each cycle, one of our five residencies includes outreach to local schools through our PARTNER Schools Program — another way we do our part to serve our community.

Surel’s Place offers month-long residencies in our one-bedroom home with a spacious studio for artists aged 25 and older to focus on their work and their creative processes. free rent free utilities free wi-fi modest living stipend of $100 per week $300 travel stipend use of well-maintained bicycles for transportation free or discounted tickets to art events and movies free marketing via our website, Facebook, targeted emails, online public calendars, and press releases free professional event hosting including catering, curating, and logistics.

The mission of the Creative Residency program at Bloedel Reserve is to foster creative thinking that is inspired by nature and that explores the connection between humans and the environment.

Selected artists and innovative thinkers are provided a three-week stay on the Bloedel grounds, with unlimited access to the Reserve’s 150 acres of sculpted gardens, forests, meadows, and wildlife habitats.

Established in 2015, the program has welcomed Creative Residents from a wide variety of disciplines, giving them the time to nurture their passions and deepen the connection between creativity, nature, and humanity.

2025 Site-Specific Art Galleries - City of Auburn, WA

The City of Auburn is seeking artists and artist teams from the Pacific Northwest (Washington, Oregon, Idaho) who:

Can develop a site-responsive public art display for either the Art on Main Gallery or Vault Gallery exhibition spaces that will be on display for three-month periods over the 2025 year.
Can successfully and fully activate a window-front space that is visible to the public 24/7 or a small indoor visitor-accessible gallery space
Is an experienced artist seeking a unique location to exhibit artwork.
Can create innovative artwork to engage the community and activate downtown Auburn.
DESCRIPTION
The City of Auburn, Washington, seeks applications from regional artists to install 3-dimensional or multi-media art installations in two site-specific gallery spaces in downtown Auburn: the Art on Main Gallery and the Vault Gallery. Both spaces provide a $1,000 artist stipend to support the creation of new work and site-specific projects, or the installation of existing work.

SELECTION CRITERIA
The review process is competitive and the review panel will be looking for a diversity of offerings. All applicants will be selected based on the following criteria:

Artistic excellence as submitted in work samples.
Strength, creativity and originality in concept, material implementation, and engagement with the site as described in proposal.
Ability to create innovative and dynamic work that would engage passers-by.
Be comfortable exhibiting work in a space that is locked and secure but is not humidity or temperature controlled and may encounter direct sunlight.
PROCESS

Phase One

Submit application by 10:59 PM Pacific Time on September 5th, 2024
Applications are reviewed annually by a rotating jury consisting of: artists, arts professionals, employees of the City of Auburn Parks, Arts & Recreation department, City of Auburn Arts Commission members, or representatives of neighborhood art groups
Applicants notified of results in October 2024. Selected artists move on to phase two.
Phase Two

City of Auburn art staff works with selected artists to discuss proposal and schedule their installation.
Artists submit a more detailed proposal for the specific project at least one month before installation. The proposal will then be reviewed and approved by City of Auburn art staff.
Phase Three

Artist receives contract, and begins installation on assigned date.
Artist provides ongoing maintenance as needed during the duration of the display.
Artist completes de-installation on assigned date.
SELECTED PARTICIPANTS MUST AGREE TO

Sign agreement/contract with the City of Auburn about installation plans and procedures.
Understand that the artwork displayed must be appropriate for the public realm.
Install and de-install their own work, understanding that they may have limited access to their space, as required for installation and de-installations.
Partner with the City of Auburn to market and promote the exhibition. Exhibitions are publicized through city-generated press releases, gallery brochure, and the City’s web site at www.auburnwa.gov/arts.
Comply with all federal, state, and local laws.
Leave the space in the same or better condition when they move out.
Understand that initial stipend payment is made within 30 days after installation upon receipt of an invoice, and that payments cannot be made until contracts have been fully processed. A portion of payment is retained until deinstallation is complete.
Artists are encouraged to offer their works for sale, but are not required to do so. All sales are handled privately between the artist and the buyer. The City of Auburn does not take a commission on any works sold through the galleries.
STIPEND AWARD

Selected artists will receive a $1,000 award. The City of Auburn intends that this award will help fund the creation of the project or act as an honorarium for displaying works already created. Artists are responsible for all transportation, installation and de-installation of their work and might also be asked to do a short artist talk during the selected installation dates.

APPLICATION CHECKLIST

1) WORK SAMPLES

3-10 digital images that demonstrate the artist’s past work (required)
Images can, but are not required to, include drawings or mock-ups of the proposed installation idea (this can help the selection panel visualize your piece more effectively)
Artists applying as a team who have no examples of joint work in the past should submit 3-5 images of each artist’s work. Individual artists are recommended to submit 10 images.
File Format: Submit only “High” quality JPG files (do not use GIF, TIFF, or other formats.) Do not embed the images into PowerPoint or submit moving image or audio files.
Image Size: Images must meet the CAFE website standards
File Labeling: Files must be titled with the applicant’s last name followed by a number indicating the viewing order. Use a “0” in front of single digit numbers and use only letters, numbers, and underscores. For example: Smith_01.jpg; Smith_02.jpg. If using Mac OS 8 or later, be sure to include a “.jpg” extension at the end of each image title.
File Upload: In the online application, please upload your images in the order to be viewed.

Please provide the exact web address(es) where the online videos can be viewed. The panel will view a minimum of 1 minute and a maximum of 3 minutes of each video.

2) WORK SAMPLE DESCRIPTIONS
Provide the following information for each image:

Title of each work represented in the image.
Media & dimensions (H x W x D”), if applicable, or description of activity.
Long description if needed. If work is presented as part of a collaboration, explain your role in the larger project (100 words/500 characters or less).
For videos longer than 3 minutes, note which 1-3 minute segment you want the panel to review.

3) ARTIST STATEMENT
Provide us with a brief artist statement to give us a sense of your work. Feel free to describe your work overall, or describe a past project or body of work. Please be as concise as possible.
(500 words/3000 characters or less).

4) PROPOSAL
Please write a brief statement outlining the work you would like to create or display if selected for the site specific gallery exhibition opportunity, either in the Art on Main Gallery or the Vault Gallery. We encourage proposals of sculptural or installation work that is dynamic, innovative and would show well in the space both day and night. The proposal should briefly outline the materials, concept, any necessary technical installation details or needs in terms of electrical, mounts, and plans of how to hang/display your work. (500 words/3000 characters or less).

5) RESUME (3 pages or less)

If submitting as a team/group, a current resume should be submitted for the contact person and all relevant team/group members.
Save as pdf and upload to CAFE in application form.
Name your resume file with your last name like this: “Smith_ Resume.pdf”

7) WHICH GALLERY SPACE
Please identify which of the two site-specific exhibition spaces you prefer to be considered for, or both. The Art on Main Gallery exhibition space is viewable through glass windows on Main Street in Downtown Auburn and is visible 24 hours a day. The Vault Gallery is within a larger art center building, which allows visitors to enter the space and is visible during building open hours (dimensions are 9'W x 6'D x 7'2"H).

LEGAL WAIVER

Artists are required to sign an “Agreement to Exhibit” liability waver. The artist/artist groups agrees to allow the City of Auburn to reproduce and use submitted images and other submitted materials for the purpose of education, promotion and publicity of the 2024 exhibition programs and the 2024 schedule of events and programs. Submission of your application constitutes agreement to use the artists' materials in this way. Artwork displayed is at the sole discretion of City of Auburn Staff and content deemed not appropriate for public audiences will not be displayed.

Since its founding in 1907, MacDowell has imbued its spaces with a deep and abiding respect for artists and their creative work. In the 21st century, this fundamental kindness is sustained by the curiosity, generosity, and goodwill circulating within the resident community.
While MacDowell may be thought of as a place apart from the world, the resident population will always be comprised of individuals who are of the world. MacDowell strives to offer ideal working conditions for artists within a joyful and mutually supportive environment. Consistent with that mission, all Fellows are obliged to adopt the community agreement as a condition of accepting a Fellowship. Doing so will help ensure that all Fellows may participate in the enriching exchange that has given rise to countless friendships and collaborations.

Fragments and extrapolations of contexts, settings, characters, details etc. which highlight the aesthetic value of a narration or place emphasis on the salient features of a story.

The position of the spectator in viewing the cinematographic product is always determined by the photographic/filmic eye that captures, and the exhibition will therefore highlight the role of the photographer with his technical and aesthetic choices in determining the involvement of the user in the construction of a story.

We strive to bring you the highest quality day workshops and regular art classes on offer in the region. Every year we devise a large programme of day workshops with top quality visiting tutors, sharing new techniques, inspirational themes and a creativity that helps to make Pegasus a really exciting artists hub. Tsung-Yeh Arts and Cultural Center is located in the Madou district, on the northern outskirts of Tainan City. Madou is a tranquil and leisurely small town with a laid-back lifestyle, located approximately 50 minutes drive from downtown Tainan. The cultural center as the factory and headquarter of the Japanese Meiji Sugar Manufacturing Corporation, Tsung-Yeh began operation in January 1912.

The four existing buildings have been declared by Tainan City Government as monuments for preservation, including the Red-Brick Office, the Guest House, the Red Brick Craft Hall, and the Factory Manager's Dormitory. Currently, the Red Brick Office and the Red Brick Craft Hall are provided as two exhibition halls for the resident artists to create and exhibit their works.

In 1624, the Dutch East India Company built the first city of Fort Zeelandia on the island in Anping District and established the first ruling regime in Taiwan. Through the development of Anping by the Ming Dynasty, the concentration of trade and economic bases during the Qing Dynasty, and the construction of urban planning and water conservation facilities during the Japanese Dynasty, the foundation of Tainan's urban development was laid. 2024 coincides with the 400th year of Tainan. We hope that through artistic intervention, we can record the present-day appearance of Tainan and move towards a richer and more diversified cultural city.

OVERVIEW

The Regional Artist-in-Residence program at Contemporary Craft will allow artists at any stage of their career and living within a 100 mile radius of Pittsburgh, PA, free access to fully equipped studios, CC staff support, and the opportunity to interface with the public while creating a body of work. The regional residencies are 3 months long. In exchange for the free usage of Contemporary Craft’s state of the art studio space as well as a monthly materials stipend, the artist in residence will be asked to engage with the public while working in the studio.

ELIGIBILITY

The ideal candidate will work in a craft medium that our studios can support, such as metalsmithing, jewelry, fibers, encaustics, paper and book arts, or small ceramics. They would have experience in a studio setting with knowledge of safety procedures and best practices.

SESSIONS

There are 4 residency sessions in each Studio throughout the year. Please submit a new application for each session you are interested in. Sessions are as follows:

APPLICATION

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis and will be reviewed and notifications sent approximately 2 months prior to the start of each session.

In 1997, Nancy B. Negley purchased the former residence of Dora Maar. In a five-year effort, she rehabilitated and updated this spacious eighteenth-century, four-story stone residence in the village of Ménerbes. Her goal was to make it a retreat for scholars, artists, and writers, where they could work undisturbed on their research, art, or writing, for one to two months.

Here outstanding mid-career professionals are offered fellowships that enable them to reside in the Dora Maar House and focus on the creative aspects of their work.

We are sorry to say the house is not completely adapted to persons with limited mobility access. It is on top of a hill in a medieval village. Getting to the house or to any of the stores in the village would be difficult. The rooms and studios are up two flights of stairs, though there is an elevator. The elevator cannot accommodate most wheelchairs. It is a very old house (15th century) and the floors are not even, there are small steps up and down between rooms.

A person with mobility issues can discuss with the staff their specific needs and level of mobility to see if it would be possible. Persons with some but limited mobility have been able to enjoy a month-long residency with some restrictions. Caregiver or companion is allowed in this context, but they must be a partner and willing to share the same bedroom with the fellow.

Art Omi: Artists invites artists from around the world, representing a wide diversity of artistic styles and practices, to gather in rural New York to experiment, collaborate and share ideas. Concentrated time for creative work is balanced with the stimulation of cultural exchange and critical appraisal.
Art Omi: Artists nurtures deep creative and professional connections in a vibrant, social residency. Artists are provided with a private studio, shared living quarters, and meals at no cost, but are responsible for their travel and material expenses, unless they are eligible for travel grants as specified in our fellowships guidelines. Each session, two critics/curators are invited to participate as Critics-in-Residence. They both lead discussions, help shape the Visitors program and make individual studio visits throughout the duration of the residency session.

The City of Santa Clarita (City) is inviting artists to submit artwork for consideration for our upcoming “Exploring Domestic Spaces” juried exhibition, which will be on view at the Newhall Community Center. We are seeking original artwork in any medium that delves into the nuances of everyday living environments. Artwork should reveal stories and emotions embedded within personal spaces, defining our sense of home.

Studio Kura’s Artist in Residence Program is a chance for domestic and international artists to experience and draw inspiration from Japan’s rural environment, as well as for Studio Kura’s thriving local community to meet different artists and their works.

Staying period are usually four, eight or twelve weeks long, and the participating artists are required to present an exhibition in the end of their stay at Studio Kura. Artists who are interested in having a workshop to children and the Studio Kura’s community, we are welcome to help and organize.

Accommodation consists on three traditional Japanese rural houses, each house can be shared by up to three to four artists. Each artist is provided a private single room. Common room, bathroom, toilet and kitchen facilities are shared with other residence artists and there is internet WiFi connection in each house. One partitioned studio space is offered to the artists as working space as well as exhibition space. There are enough restaurants and stores for daily needs at bicycle distance. A 25 minutes walk to the nearest train station, Ikisan. Artists are welcome to visit our office to work and ask any needs, located in 3-10 minutes distance from the residence house 1 and 2, and 20 minutes distance from the residence house 3. They will be able to meet a number of people during the period.

The Awesome Foundation is an ever-growing worldwide community devoted to forwarding the interest of awesome in the universe. Created in the long hot summer days of 2009 in Boston, the Foundation distributes $1,000 grants, no strings attached, to projects and their creators. At each fully autonomous chapter, the money is pooled together from the coffers of ten or so self-organizing “micro-trustees” and given up front in cash, check, or gold doubloons.

The Craft Emergency Relief Fund (CERF+) emergency relief grant focuses on artists working in craft or materials-based folk/traditional disciplines that are 18 years or older and have resided and worked in the U.S. or U.S. territories for the past 2 years. These artists must have experienced a recent, unforeseen, career threatening emergency. Emergency Relief is available year-round.
The Get Ready Grant program provides individual craft artists grants up to $500 to conduct activities that will help safeguard their studios, protect their careers and prepare for emergencies. Artists are encouraged to use the Risk Assessment activity to generate ideas. Priority will be given to applications from people who identify in the global majority or as Black, Indigenous, People of Color (BIPOC)* and folk and traditional artists. You have the opportunity to participate in a cutting-edge sculpture exhibition that is anticipated to be the first of its kind in the world: An Augmented Reality exhibition of real-world sculptures that will be virtually displayed via an app onto a real-world outdoor pedestal in a Price Sculpture Forest’s beautiful public sculpture park setting. Your real-world physical sculpture will be digitally transformed for onsite display by a technology startup company we are partnering with. A custom Augmented Reality phone app has been created specifically for this exhibition at Price Sculpture Forest. Visitors will download the app onsite (free WiFi is provided) and be able to view your sculpture via a QR code on your sculpture plaque that shows your name and sculpture title. The visitors can then see your high-resolution sculpture on the pedestal seamlessly placed within the visual context of the entire area, background, and people there. They can walk around your sculpture to see it from all angles and view it up close or from a distance. They can even stand by your sculpture and take a picture with it. The app will include artist information about you plus links to your website and social media for additional information, contact, and sales inquiries.

XAANINNA art residency located in the jungle of Tulum Mexico is currently receiving applications for self directed art residency projects to take place on through 2024.

Artist owned retreat, residency and workshop on site since 2013 develop on models for low impact architecture and sustainable living as core value. La Maison de Beaumont offers an Artist Residency in Provence & Luberon as part of the prestigious ResArtis network (a worldwide network of 550 vetted members operating in 75 countries), as well as part of the Artist Communities program.

The Artist Residency of La Maison de Beaumont was created with the goal of offering a retreat for musicians, scholars, writers and painters, who seek a quiet place to work undisturbed on their art. The scenery and beauty of the region, coupled with the history and comfort of the house, provides an ideal setting to focus on creative work.

The program provides :
• Up to two months in residence at La Maison de Beaumont
• A fully equipped private apartment with kitchen & bath
• A common creative room for rehearsals, exhibits or other artistic endeavors
• Networking with other cultural associations of Luberon

The School of the Photographic Arts: Ottawa (SPAO) invites applications for the Artist in Residence for Photographers and Photo-Based Artists. This 6-month photographic mentorship and residency is one of the most unique residencies of its kind. This residency is designed for visual artists who have previously completed formal training in visual arts and/or lens-based media and are ready to intensely focus on an aspect of their existing career or on a specific upcoming project.

SPAO’s Spectrum Bursary provides $3000 to artists from racialized and underrepresented communities to use towards the SPAO Residency.

ARTNOIR is excited to announce our microgrant initiative, The Jar of Love Fund, is currently accepting applications once again. The Jar of Love Fund is intended to provide relief for artists, curators, and cultural producers of color. The Jar of Love Fund has distributed over $100,000 USD and first launched in 2020 in response to the unprecedented times of uncertainty, unrest, and the subsequent adverse impact on our community.

For the past decade, ARTNOIR has worked tirelessly to be an agent of social change catalyzing equity across the arts and culture industries. As an organization based on the foundation of community first, we want to do our part to provide love and care for artists, curators and cultural producers of color when they need it most. The unrestricted grant is designed to help remove some of the burden of thought and free up mental and spiritual capacity to continue creating and collaborating in strength. The arts and culture are the bedrock of any society. These are spaces that invite us to think critically and engage in rigorous discourse around the tough challenges we face as a community. As we reflect on the decade worth of work we have done as an organization, it is imperative that we utilize our network and resources to ensure that creatives have the capacity to create and be the spark of joy we need in our lives.

We are committed to ensuring that artists, curators and cultural producers of all gender expressions, sexual orientation, disability status, and socioeconomic class have access to the fund and will actively work to ensure outreach is targeted to groups otherwise excluded from resources of this nature. Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis as funds become available. Microgrant amounts are determined on a case-by-case basis depending on the scale of the project.

THE POP CULTURE COLLABORATIVE’S VISION AND PURPOSE
Throughout America’s history, the most transformative cultural shifts—from slavery abolition to Reconstruction, “I Have A Dream” to “Yes We Can,” #BlackLivesMatter, the DREAM-ers, and Love Is Love—have been achieved by movements and leaders who have awakened people’s deep yearning to belong in a pluralist America. In each case, the tug-of-war between belonging and exclusion sparked a portal moment—a cracking open of the public imagination about what this nation is capable of becoming.

We believe our nation is on the precipice of another historic breakthrough: a once-in-a-generation opportunity for the American people to decisively choose to move in the direction of pluralism and justice. How will we respond to this call for transformation? Will we submit to authoritarian narratives that entice us to retreat back into the systems of exclusion and violence that stain our past, or will we step boldly through the portal and onto the path towards our pluralist future?

Americans have the opportunity to ask: What society do we yearn to create and who can we empower to lead the way? If, as civil rights scholar Vincent Harding once said, America is “a country that has yet to be born,” the pop culture for social change field can help prepare and guide millions of people through this process of becoming something new by clearing away the detritus of our nation’s past, replacing fetid, crumbling ideas and norms with ones rooted in justice, care, and connection.

Together, artists, organizers, strategists, and researchers can create the stories that help the American public understand and interpret the choices we face through the lens of our shared commitment to becoming a pluralist nation.

Over the long-term, the Collaborative is working to support the growth of a pop culture for social change field capable of building the yearning in most Americans (more than 150 million people) to actively co-create a just and pluralist society in which everyone is perceived to belong, inherently, and is treated as such. The Pop Culture Collaborative defines a pluralist society as a culture in which the majority of people in a community and nation are engaged in the hard and delicate work of belonging together in a just and equitable society.

GRANT ELIGIBILITY
Individuals/organizations with fiscal sponsorships as well as nonprofits and for-profits in the United States are eligible for Pop Culture Collaborative grants.

To be considered, proposals must engage, affect, center, and/or support at least one or all of our multi-community focus areas: people of color, immigrants, refugees, Indigenous peoples, and/or Muslims, particularly those who are women, queer, transgender, and/or disabled. Initiatives with an intersectional and intentional focus on gender justice, LGBTQIA rights, disability, democratic fairness, pluralist values, and economic justice are highly prioritized. The Collaborative seeks grantee partners working at the intersection of pop culture and social change who:

Are artists, activists, organizations, strategists, researchers, and/or others who identify culture change as a clear outcome of their work and pop culture strategies as a critical aspect of their culture change efforts.
The Pop Culture Collaborative provides grants to artists and organizations or companies that support artist cohorts, from various disciplines, locations, and industries to bring their artistic vision to mass audiences, while also contributing to field-wide efforts to build public yearning for a pluralist America.

We seek to create a large, networked community of artists who believe that their creative work and leadership have the power to inspire millions of Americans to actively co-create a pluralist society.

Areas of interest include:

Supporting artists and cultural organizations to conceptualize, develop, and produce creative works that can help build public yearning for pluralist culture in America.
Supporting artists to gather for shared learning, networking, community-knitting, and power-building, especially spaces that bring artists into direct and meaningful connection with frontline activists and culture change strategists.
Helping artists and organizations develop the methodology, networks, infrastructure, pipelines, and leadership skills needed to redistribute access and power in their respective industries to historically excluded communities.

The Pop Culture Collaborative accepts proposals by invitation only. However, we have created a simple process for potential grantees to self-evaluate whether they are a match with the Collaborative’s goals and guidelines, and if so, to submit an idea for our consideration. It is important to note that an idea submission is not a proposal. The Collaborative will respond only to idea submissions that the staff team has reviewed and deem a potential match.

The Residency is multi-disciplinary and open for most creative directions: Visual Art, New Media, Printmaking, Ceramic, Sculpture, Dance, Performing Arts, Land Art, Textile Art, Music, Literature, Crafts, Sustainable Design, Engineering & Photography.

One of our most vital services, the SubletSeries@HERE supports 150 guest independent artists and groups—such as Colt Coeur, Ma-Yi, and New Georges each season. As Ben Brantley of The New York Times states, “HERE’s Sublet Series allows artists to develop and perform work, at a discount.”

This creative curated rental program has allowed many upstart companies and emerging artists to realize their full artistic vision on a small budget. The program provides subsidized performance and rehearsal space, a technical liaison, and administrative support, including a fully staffed box office. SubletSeries@HERE artists can also access equipment that is not typically available in venues our size such as video projectors, wireless microphones, LEDs—all for free or at subsidized rates. We accept applications from artists all over the world for the opportunity to show work.

Artworkshops Australia was founded in Bangalow NSW 15 years ago and has staged more than 250 workshops and trips around Australia. Our professional teaching artists are proficient at teaching all levels across most mediums.

Two day weekend workshops are held in our Byron Hinterland studio on private property and provide for an in depth focus across a variety of visual arts disciplines and mediums. Extended 4 day workshops and trips are conducted at various locations within Australia and usually en plein air.

Instruction in Still life, Figurative, Landscape and Abstraction are conducted by acclaimed and inspirational teachers with vast teaching experience and highly regarded in the Australian art world.

Immersing yourself in the adventure of painting with other artists is central to advancing your practice and creating interesting art.

Max’s Emergency Relief & Resource Fund is a one-time grant of between $500 and $1000 to assist self-employed artists who have a steady work history, but who are experiencing a temporary financial set back. MKCP assistance is designed to resolve this short term crisis, whatever it may be, and the applicant will again gain employment in the near future. Individuals seeking assistance must be residents of New York State. Exceptions are made in some cases if applicant was affiliated with Max’s Kansas City. Applicants whose arrears are so serious that assistance will not allow them relief from their difficulties are not eligible for assistance. Please be specific as to what bill the grant is needed for. Grants of financial assistance do not go to the applicant. Payment goes directly to creditor/third party. Please note, although MKCP Emergency Grant does cover medical bills, it does not cover psychotherapy costs unless the psychotherapist is an MD. MKCP only covers housing, medical and legal aid. The application and support materials must be sent by snail mail!

The Foundation provides financial resources for visual artists to create new work, acquire supplies, rent studio space, prepare for exhibitions, attend a residency and offset living expenses.
The Foundation welcomes, throughout the year, applications from visual artists who are painters, sculptors and artists who work on paper, including printmakers. There are no deadlines. Grants are intended for a one-year period of time. The size of the grant is determined by the individual circumstances of the artist. Professional exhibition history will be taken into consideration. Artists must be actively exhibiting their current work in professional artistic venues, such as gallery and museum spaces.

Three times per year, downtown OKC IT firm amshot hosts an art opening featuring the art work of a local artist. The event benefits a local charitable organization and artists retain 90 percent of their sales.

As a local business, amshot typically focuses on IT services and software development, but our team is also passionate about supporting the local art community. With this in mind, we created exhibITion to promote local artists, give back to our community, and enjoy the company of fellow art-lovers.

Three times per year, we feature a local artist’s work on our office walls, host an art exhibition and sale, invite a local brewery, serve wine and hors d’oeuvres, and donate the proceeds of the event to a charitable organization.

The art show is hosted at amshot’s office in Downtown OKC. Admission to the gallery is free, but those 21+ can donate $5 to the featured charitable organization in exchange for a wristband that will allow them beer from the featured local brewery and wine. Light hors d’oeuvres are also served. All art displayed will be for sale and can be purchased with card or cash. The sold and unsold art will then hang in amshot’s office until the next exhibITion for all to enjoy.

The Black Artists Grant (BAG) offered by Creative Debuts as a no-strings attached financial support to help black artists. They can spend the grant on whatever they want – be that make new work, buy equipment or materials, travel, research, visit exhibitions or conferences, or to even just cover some life expenses.

This grant has been set up because black artists are systematically under-supported by the art world; by institutions, curators, the artist-led scene, major and minor funding bodies, the market, art schools, and by audiences too.
